Early Memories

Having a happy childhood time is the biggest blessing one can get. Men who have had a happy childhood are very sensitive, understanding and docile. They become the proper denizens of the world. Sweet memories of my child age always make me feel happy. We stayed in a rented house and were very happy. My Father, mother and brother are my biggest assests in life. As a child, I liked Gulmohar tree very much. I was calling it 'Fire flower' tree. There was a small space adjacent to my house, where we grew other small plants. There was a mud road that ran in front of our house. Towards one end of it was main road and the other end  it bifurcated into small paths to fields and bushes. There were lot of snake pits adjacent to the mud road that ran in-front of our house.

There came a big rain once in our village which was normally dry. All the land was covered with lots of water. I and my brother took a small wooden plank like object and started pushing it in water. We were happy to see it float. Later, I wanted to stand on that plank and float. I was not successful. My mother came rushing outside and shouted that there may be snakes in the water. Since, the water was till my knee deep, I was asked to come back to home. I reluctantly yielded.

A child observes himself

I was about 3 years when I first time realized that I exist in this universe.  I was running at that time on a road to my home and suddenly stopped. I realized that there is something called me and that there are surroundings like the village (Yemmiganur), road and the sky. I talked with my brother and we both reached home. My mother gave me something to eat and my father just returned from his office. I deeply observed all my family members.
